Tokyo Ghoul: RE Episode 4 Review

I honestly thought episode 4 was gonna be the bomb. Alas, it was not. I don’t know how many episodes season 3 is supposed to get, but if it’s 13, or even 12, Tokyo Ghoul better step it up. Half of episode 4 could’ve been easily part of episode 3, and as a result, episode 4 would’ve had more room for additional development and value.

The episode focused mainly on highlighting the might and the new and improved abilities of Aogiri Tree. It introduced new characters, and displayed some serious action, plus Akira Mado reminded us and the ghouls whose daughter she is. All of this made the episode a little more exiting, but I wish there was more development.

So far, none of the questions I’ve been asking since the first episode have been answered. Again, I don’t want this to be a series where all the plot development action happens at the end of the season, and we are left with a cliffhanger for the next season my grand-kids will get to see.

I wish the plot would start tackling the more serious issues all while delivering good action and amazing scenes. Since it’s only episode 4, I still have hope, so let’s see what the next episode will have to offer. Thank you for reading.
